Curry

I'll be the first to admit it- curry is a mysterious dish to me.
So many spices layered over one another. I know a good curry when I try one. I'm practically addicted to curry.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give this curry a 7. It was sufficient but not exactly what I was hoping for.

It looks good though. The best part of the dish was the green mini eggplants. I love those thing. I used a canned curry from Little Saigon. It looks like making curry from scratch is what I need to do. There are just SO many ingredients- I was hoping to avoid all that.

Welp, the decision is made, I must make curry from scratch at least one time before I die. Wish me luck! :)

What's the ONE dish you could eat over and over?

I love curry too.

There are a few that I could eat over and over...probably some type of rice bowl would be top of the list, I LOVE basmati brown rice, a lot.

Teddy - you could TOTALLY make curry from scratch. If I remember, I'll send you a recipe. YOU CAN DO IT :)

One dish I can eat over and over...pizza? eggplant parm? Yum! Too many good foods that I can't decide.

Hmmm, I don't can eat french fries and peanut butter and jelly for the rest of my life. I know that's a not a gourmet meal but it sure is good!!

I LOVE curries. I am thinking of making an okra curry tomorrow over quinoa. I'll let you know how it turns out.

The one I DO eat over and over--
okay, two right now: a chick pea curry and a salad I call apple ceasar. The curry uses lots of gorgeous spices (you can use your beautiful mortar and pestle to perfect your own Garam Masala!)tomatoes, garlic, onion, shredded carrot, etc. and slow simmering. The salad is green apple sliced thin, marinated in lemon juice, ( incredible taste!) then add cubes of very ripe avocado and romaine sliced in chiffonade. Toss.
You can add a touch of dijon too, and tahini if you want it to be more filling. best, Osal
