Ricemellow

This is a new purchase for me!

I got some Ricemellow last week and now I'm trying to come up with some ideas for what I can use it up with.
I made some Koala Krispy Treats but I didn't use a recipe; I just added a little of this then a little of that and while they tasted good, they weren't as gooey and I had hoped for.
Does anyone have an actual recipe for making vegan rice krispy treats?

What else can I use ricemellow for? Do you use ricemellow? How do you use it?

I've never used ricemellow, but a vegan rice krispy treats recipe would be delightful...

I'm probably not much help since I've never heard of ricemellow, but if I had it I'd probably use it to make a fluffer-nutter-peanut-butter sandwich... maybe you can use it in fudge? Is there even such a thing as vegan fudge?

I would think that you could use the original recipe for rice krispy treats just subbing the ricemellow and using earth balance instead of butter...

You can always make some fluffernutters too...mmm...and smores!!!

MMMMM! :)

This was in my computoer's recipe files. I haven't tried it... I think it came from Chef Deb (four - five years ago) at Veg Source.

Marshmallow Crispy Treats
1 & 1/4 cups natural sugar
1 & 1/4 cups corn syrup (or rice syrup)
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup Smucker's Marshmallow Topping (vegan)
8 cups crispy rice cereal
Cook sugar and corn syrup on medium heat until bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Put into a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix margarine and marshmallow topping together until blended.
Add margarine-marshmallow mixture to sugar mixture, and mix well.
Add cereal, and stir until evenly coated.
Press mixture into a well-greased pan.Let stand until firm.
Cut into pieces.
Keep refrigerated.

Fluffernutters!!!!! Spread your favorite nut butter on one piece of bread. Spread Ricemellow on the other. Mush the two pieces of bread together. I haven't done this for a while, but it is good!

You know I never like marshmellows before I went vegan but I bet I would like them now! I really want to try ricemellow only because it's vegan. I dont' have a rice krispies recipe because I've never made them before. Oh and I'm going to school to be a high school math teacher. I might go to grad school someday but I want to graduate first.

I haven't had this yet... looks like the vegan alternative to fluff. That could mean just one thing: it ROCKS!

Lookin' forward to seeing what else you'll do w/it. I'd just grab a spoon and go for it...

I love ricemellow. Soynut butter and rice mellow sandwiches. (or hemp or almond butter...yum!)

If you successfully make vegan rice criaspy treats with it, please post the recipe.

Thanks everyone else for their recipes here too!

hi. i been wanting to try this, it sounds amazing but i was wondering what happens to it when heated. im used to vegan foods turning all liquidy and oily when heated. im guessing this wont work on a stick over a fire but even on cocoa, does it melt into a wonderful sweet fluff or does it turn all clear and gross? any answers would be great, though when a store near me gets it im sure to try it myself anyway. later
