Can I just say that I had an ADVENTURE at the grocery store today. I go to 2 different places. And I was in a rush b/c I have plans with my family tonight. Well, me being the genius that I am, I locked my keys in the car. It took an hour and a half for me to get back in.
Thank goodness for my MOM living only 20 miles away : ).. Something else made me happy while I was sitting there, kicking myself for locking my keys in the car, and a man stopped to offer me help. We couldn't get in the car but then he went one step further and tried calling AAA for me. I don't know who that guy was and I'll probably never see him again, but THANK YOU to him. Way to restore any doubts I had about human kind. :)

jicama! I haven't had jicama in ages. Must buy some next week.
I have to say, this is strange, but I really don't care for papaya. I think it is the only fruit that I don't like. Something about the texture . . . or the flavor . . . it's just weird.
adventures in grocery stores is the story of my life. hahaha.
Yummmm....sounds like a good shopping trip, except for the locked-in keys(been there, done that). But heck, even that wasn't so bad, you had your mom and a kind stranger to be thankful for, right?
Have a goooood night, G :)
hey there girlie, i caught ya trying to sneek in Peanut butter filled pretzels as produce! zoinks! nice list & don't worry, we've all done it & it sucks locking the keys in. hope you had fun with your family. :)
Teddy, great list girl!
I am so sorry about the car keys dilemma! ARGH!!! Your poor Scion, crying out to you, "Mommy, mommy! Hurry!!!"
:o)
It all worked out in the end. Humans can be all right someX, can't they?!
Peanut-butter filled pretzels, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!!!
Where did you go to shop?!
Thank goodness for family, eh?
You had a good shopping trip.
Oh don't complain too much about what you bought. You made great choices, Ms. Whole Food Diva! ;-)
Do you have any farms in your area? The produce is usually very good and picked the same day. It's usually cheaper too.
wowww.. all fruits and veggies ONLY!!.. by far the best MwM list I've seen.. none have had so much of veggies and fruits.. pretty good!!
Helloo
Catherine- I didn't like papaya for a long time. I guess my taste buds changed over the years
pinknest- oh man, what kind of adventures do you have?
G- I am very thankful for my mom and that stranger, it wasn't even a bad experience. I was smiling most of the time.
vicki- I had a great time with my family thanks! :)
Kleo- I shop at two places, a growers direct market that sells produce grown in CA and trader joes (the peanut butter pretzels yumyum)
VM- i've been looking for a local farm and have been unsuccessful. I'd love to find one. We have local markets like growers direct and on sundays there's a farmers market too.
Mc Seitan- Fruit and veg is all i wanted for some reason. Everything else didn;t look as good. I was in a mood I guess haha : )
Thanks to all for comming by
Teddy
Awesome list! Can't wait to see what you make (recipes, too!!!)
Take a look at today's post...I think you might be interested in this lil project I just started.
what a beautiful display!
pb pretzels...damn. that sounds really good.
one time my car stalled and my own BOYFRIEND didn't offer to call AAA so yes...thanks to the very kind gentleman who helped you!
(he eventually did call after i said "cripes! A stranger would call their AAA for someone"...was i right???)
peanut butter filled pretzels are going to be the death of me I swear (or will at least lead to a wardrobe of elastic waist pants). I LOVE them. Great list :-)
Sorry to hear about the car key incident.
I had stories like that too from when I was single, and that's probably why I have a strange habit of feeling and checking my keys in my backpack (though I know I put them in there already) before actually slamming the door... Weird, I know.
hello helloo ; )
Thanks for letting me know about your lil' progect harmonia!
Tanya- you were exactly right! what a jerk boyfriend. Hopefully he's out hte door
Nancy- I just introduced my boyfriend to Pb pretzels and now he eats them all! I guess it is good for me b/c i really shouldn't be eating them as much as I do. I I think they're addictive. Nice to hear you're on the PB train too haha
Kai- I usually freak out and give myself a pat down before slamming the door too.. I've locked my keys in the car about hmm 8 times now.. Looks like I'll never learn haha
