Udon Noodle Bowl + Fried Tempeh

I have a new favorite way to eat tempeh- fried in sesame oil then dribbled with a little shoyu.

It was necesarry to add that picture and comment about the tempeh because you simply cannot see it in the completed udon bowl. This is another class picture again (you thought ALL that tempeh was just for lil ole me?? oink oink). Items included in our udon bowl are- tempeh, dashi broth, shitake mushrooms, carrots, diakon radish, diakon radish greens, wakame and udon noodles.

I think I'll make some dashi broth at home in the next few days. I love shitake mushrooms and this broth is full of shitake goodness. Off to work now!

It's sooo cool that you followed your dreams and are in school! All the food looks great. Umeboshi vinegar is one of my favorite things too!

I have tons of tempeh in my freezer..
