I made hummus
Blueberry smoothies
I also made some soy milk but didn't take a picture of it. Playing with the Vitamix was a terrible idea because now I want one! I can't even imagine a way to afford one. Oh wait, I know- I'll win the mega lotto. That's the way I'll get a $500 kitchen appliance.
Does anyone have a Vitamix? What do you use it for? (So I may sit here in envy- hehe)

I have one! But only because my mom gave me hers. I use it to make smoothies most of the time.
and you can make peanut butter! and almond butter, cashew butter, pecan butter...oh yum...
I just have a plain old blender. I live vicariously through other people's vitamixes. The smoothie looks so healthy and full of nummy phytochemicals.
Whoa, that's expensive! Lol! I bet I'd love it too. You look like a natural there making your hummus!! You're adorable!!
I hope you do win the lotto and get one!
I have one and I use it all the time.. I grind my own flour from various grains and chickpeas, I make smoothies out of whole fruit/veggies. One of my fav things is to take a ruby red grapefruit and blend it up with some water and ice and stevia.. mmm.. oh, I make peanut butter and other nut butters.. I make all types of sauces.
I saved for a year for one in an ING account.. 12 bucks a week..
i just have a blender and a food processor. Are there things one can do with a vitamix that can't be done with these two appliances?
I've heard so many great things about the Vitamix but I just can't plunk down that much money. Melody's idea of saving $12 every week might make it a little easier for me to do.
i dream with one too!
Aw, yer such a cutie.
Peter's got a VitaMix and lemme tell you, i know "thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's _______ (fill in the blank)" but Teddy, i want one too.
Very cool just to have a blender, i love mine!
So yeah, i would love a VitaMix but the price... just can't do it. i might use Peter's someday if i can get over my fear of its power!
I have one. I didn't like the newer ones so I went on ebay and bought the VitaMix 3600 plus it was in like new condition. I only paid $151 and it's stainless steel. I try to avoid plastic if possible. I love it. I use it daily.
