I asked my mom what she thought, and her first words were, "...That's a fruit?"

I'm stumped!

This looks like a fruit fround in the Tropics called Soursop. Its usually dark green in color, and changes to a paler green when ripe. The interior is white, with a wooly texture, and has black seeds. Discard the seeds and blend the white portion with water, lime or lemon, and sweeten to taste. Some people blend it with milk and sweeten to taste. Either way you make it, chill it, and enjoy. It makes a thick drink, so dilute accordingly.

Just because I have no idea I'm guessing durian but for some reason I don't think you can have that here.

Is it...a jackfruit?...

Is it a Cherimoya? I've never seen one in real life, so this is just a guess.

I was thinking a weird artichoke slash bruised mango. Hmm, cool find, whatever it is.
