A non-food related post here- just wanted to wish everyone a happy friday!
I'll be posting my mushroom recipe when I get home tonight. I'll also be going to the movies tonight- there's a 2 dollar theatre that just opened up and it's playing Thank you for Smoking. I really want to see it.
Has anyone seen Al Gore's new movie- An Inconvenient Truth? I'm a little curious.

no i haven't but my boyfriend wants to do movie night at his house once a week and show movies like that so i'll suggest it.

Hi - I saw Inconvenient Truth just the other day! I work in climate change, so we took off for the afternoon and went as a group. I thought it was really well done. He spent a long time defending the science of climate change, but given it's aimed at a US audience and they are really the only country (federally anyway) that doesn't agree with the science, I think it was warrented. However, it's communicated in a very good/fun way...so if you're not a science geek, it's okay, it should still appeal to you.
There's a lot of odd moments of Al Gore stareing into space thinking about climate change...so many it got to be a little funny!

I want to see that Al Gore movie, and the new Pixar "Cars" flick. I probably won't get around to them, I never seem to have time to get to movies... but I want to!!!

I'm not a movie person at all but I'm going to see Al Gore's movie when it opens here. But I wonder if it is "preaching to the choir" as they say. I mean, if a person doesn't think that climate change is a reality by now, I doubt that Al Gore's movie is going to change their mind. But, I guess it's good for even those of us in the "choir" to know more about the science behind it.
I watched the trailer for The Inconvenient Truth on-line and called my husband in to watch it. We really want to see this movie. Now, I do have issues with paying $12 to get into the theatre. Don't even get me started on the popcorn prices. So, I'll wait until it comes to our cheapie theatre downtown and it's only $5. I have to wait for a few weeks, but I'm cheap sometimes so I can handle it.
