Chick'n Stuffed Bell pepper

I don't know what it is with me and my peppers but I like them raw. I could be because putting a pepper in the oven would take longer, yet it's more likely that I prefer the crisp texture of a raw pepper to the soggy baked one.
Either way, stuffing bell peppers and leaving them raw is my favorite way to use this ingredient.

This time I used some TVP flavored with some un-chicken broth powder, bok-choy, onions and some roasted garlic.

I roasted garlic for the first time last week and I'm now making it a point to have a head of roasted garlic on hand in my kitchen. Roasted garlic is too simple to make and too wonderful. I'm thrilled I finally decided to give it a whirl.

What's your favorite thing to do with Bell Peppers?

I'm not the biggest fan of raw bell peppers but that does look good. Actually I do like the colored ones raw more so than green ones. But I think my favorite thing to do with them is to cook them in fajitas with onions and seitan and tomatoes and whatever else I can find to throw in there.

Cut into strips and grilled for fajitas!

I also love raw bell peppers more than cooked ones but they must be orange or yellow and plump. I haven't actually got any favorite way to fill them as that depends on the mood I am in. Most times it's a brown rice salad with whatever herbs and salad veggies I have on hand.

I love stuffed peppers too but my favorite way is fried peppers, onions and potatoes. Yum!

Did you read my top 5 post where I started my top 5 worst post? Peppers are one of my least fav foods. Well, actually hate green peppers. I'm ambivalent about other colors as long as they are cooked.

Funny, because my dad loves green peppers.

Yay pumpkins! I love Halloween and jackolanterns. Oh and happy birthday to your mom.

I like what you did. I like my peppers (preferably red!) roasted or broiled or BBQ'd, big time, but i would rather have them raw than overcooked and mushy. Yuck! Your pepper does look like a pumpkin, it's very cute with its little hat there...

Oohh - raw bell peppers. I guess I'm not used to that for a stuffed pepper.

I'll be posting tonight about the stuffed peppers I made - stuffed with corn, pepper tops, brown rice, and veggie beef crumbles. yum!

My new favorite way to use peppers and eggplant: Avjar. I plan on making pizza tonight and using the avjar I have left in the fridge in place of tomato sauce. This stuff is seriously yummy!

That looks so cool! I had a great stuffed bell pepper at this fancy schmancy restaurant i had to go to for work, and want to try making my own. They look really neat.

As for the question, I must have my bell peppers cooked, and my favorite way to eat them is with the ethiopian seitan and peppers recipe from VWAV. although that stuffed pepper was a close second!
